On this edition, we speak with Janice McAteer, Director of Development for the Developmental Services Center in Champaign. McAteer discusses the wide range of services DSC provide while working to educate the community about persons with developmental disabilities. She also explains the ways the organization evaluates people of all ages and develops plans for each individual. Finally, Janice talks about the how the organizations works to ensure they have a diversity of funding sources.
We are also joined by Eric Robeson, who is helping to organize CU Oktoberfest on October 12. He discusses what everyone can expect for the inaugural event, which will include a selection of beers, suasages, music and lederhosen. All proceeds from the event benefit the DSC.
