On the evening of February 6th it wasn’t your typical Friday night in the heart of Downtown Champaign. A few hundred people spent the night outside to raise both awareness and money to help the homeless. With hour long conferences held in Champaign’s city building, awareness of what homeless have to face was brought to attention. From dusk on, people began to prepare what was to a long and cold night ahead of them. With a goal to reach $100,000 this year has been the most successful yet.
