If you’d like a bit of a refresh as we approach the longest night of the year, the Urbana Park District is hosting a Winter Solstice celebration this Saturday at Anita Purves Nature Center. Activities will be happening from 4 to 7 p.m. You can gather around the bonfire and hear stories, reflect on (and maybe let go of) things that happened this past year, and set some intentions for the new year.
If you arrive on the early end of things, you can take a twilight stroll through Busey Woods. Most importantly, there will be snacks.
It’s free to attend, and open to all ages. They are requesting that you call (217) 384-4062 to sign up so they have an idea of how many people to expect.
