Be a part of the Taste of Champaign-Urbana! The Champaign Park District is seeking volunteers for the 43rd Annual Taste of C-U! The hugely popular food and arts festival is taking place June 21–23 at West Side Park in Champaign. Volunteer opportunities are available in various times and duties.
A new part of the Taste of C-U is the Pie Run! It is a 3.14 mile run that starts at 5:00 p.m. on June 22. Along the way, runners get water and pie breaks! At the end, runners can finish “flying pie,” an option that has them dodging pies, or “pie free,” the option that allows them to go home clean. The Pie Run is included in the list of volunteer needs for the festival.
The Taste of C-U is the biggest fundraiser for the Champaign Park District’s Youth Scholarship Fund, which provides opportunities for youth who are unable to participate in recreational programs because of economic hardship. Help make it the most successful year yet by volunteering!
