It should be no secret that Parkland College is a cultural asset to our Champaign-Urbana community, and later this month, you’ll be able to experience it first-hand at Parkland’s Art and Design Open House.
From 5:30-7:30 on April 20th, you will be able to take a tour around Parkland’s C and D wings, and will show off Parkland’s Art and Design facilities, ideal for prospective art students.

Parkland College Art, Design Open House, April 20CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Parkland College Fine and Applied Arts department will host its annual Art and Design Open House Thursday, April 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the college’s C wing art annex and the lower level of its D wing.
The open house offers an ideal way to learn why Parkland College is an exceptional school for art and design. Prospective students can tour the campus, talk with art faculty, and view the Art and Design Student Exhibition, on display in the Giertz Gallery through May 6.
This special opportunity also includes demonstrations in sculpture, metalsmithing/jewelry, drawing, and graphic design. Prospective students will be encouraged to visit ceramics, drawing, and photography classes that are in session during the open house.
Preregistration is suggested but not required for this free event, at parkland.edu/FAAopenhouse. Parking is available in the C4 lot. Signs will indicate the access to the open house, near the southeast corner of the art wing.
