The International and Area Studies Library will be hosting Shri Sudhakar Dalela, the Consul General of India.
What is a Consul General? They represent their country within another country, similar to an ambassador, but are often one of several in that particular country, stationed in larger cities and economic centers. Dalela leads the consulate general in Chicago, and his office provides assistance to Indian citizens living in the Midwest.
On August 21st from 12 to 1 p.m., you can visit 321 Main Library and enjoy refreshments, the consulate’s donation of Indian cultural and literary texts, and meet the Consul General.
