The Cunningham Township Supervisor’s Office is partnering with H2O Salon and Spa, the Unitarian Universalist Church, and Urbana-Champaign Friends Meeting to offer free haircuts, school supplies, and pizza this Sunday, August 18th, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the UU Church, 309 W. Green Street in Urbana.
Want to help the cause? They are still looking for a few volunteers. You can sign up here. You can also donate new school supplies to their office at 205 W. Green Street. If you aren’t sure what types of things to donate, head to any local purveyor of school supplies and you will most of the general necessities: folders, notebooks, crayons, pencils, etc. placed front and center of their school supply section.
