So, the Illini have dropped two in a row heading in to the Big Ten season. So, what’s the good news? Rob’s got plenty, plus other news as well. Hey… better than bad news.
In the grand scheme of things, Illinois’ little hiccup on Saturday should prove harmless down the stretch. But that doesn’t meant that Weber is off the hook.
After seven minutes of playing with a women’s ball, the Illini mens squad outlasted a tough Oakland opponent from Michigan.
Before finals, the Illini have to face a tough Oakland (Mich.) squad with a future NBA player on its team. The team loosened up with warm-ups yesterday. The coaches loosened belt buckles with McDonalds.
The hype on last night’s game versus UNC had dissipated a bit due to a lackluster start to the season for the Tarheels. But that didn’t prevent the Illini faithful from making it into a spectacle.
On a lovely holiday trip to Kalamazoo, Rob gets a victory out of the Illini and a tour of one of the better small American cities in the Midwest. Oh, just bring cash if you plan on going.
The Illini played Yale for the first time since 1949 last night. It was terribly boring. Next, they travel to Kalamazoo to face a formidable MAC opponent in Western Michigan. That will not be boring.
With about 3000 seats still left unsold, and lots of those sold likely to be empty, the Illini face Ivy Leaguers Yale tonight at the Hall. Rob speaks with players about that and New York inside.
