From Fall 2007 to Spring 2009, Zmick held down a weekly residence at the Canopy. Whether you called it Monday Night Rage, MNR or simply “Rage”, Monday nights in the Void Room could always be counted on for extended jams, one-off covers and a solid sampling of midwestern jam. Zmick have since moved on to the greener pastures of Chicago, but they’ve left a little nug in the form of the thirteen song, two and a half hour Monday Night Rage Anthology — I wasn’t kidding about the “extended” bit, as all but two of the songs clock in at over eight minutes.
