If you’d like to deep dive into fall vibes this weekend, you can head out to Museum of the Grand Prairie for Harvest Fest on October 15th between 2 and 5 p.m. All of the elements of an autumnal celebration will be there: pumpkin carving, hay-rack rides, apple peeling…okay I didn’t really realize that last one was a tradition, but it’s definitely preferable to bobbing for apples as far as apple-related activities go.
If you plan to carve a pumpkin it will be $5, but everything else is free.
Be sure to spend some time on the trails out at Lake of the Woods while you’re out there. It’s absolutely lovely there right now. There’s also a fun little spooky trail in the Mabery Gelvin Botanical Garden.
