It is with sincere and deep sadness that I can report to you that after 27 years in business — first on 6th St. and then on Wright St. — Jay Feiz is shuttering the doors of Wonderdogs, one of the last remaining pieces of the pre-Campustown 2000 landscape.
I’ll write more about that, and Wonderdogs for next week, but for the moment, after having spoken with Jay, here are the reasons:
1. He is turning 65 next year.
2. His lease is up soon, and the rent is being raised significantly (no surprise there).
3. It’s time for him to move on.
4. There will be an Indian restaurant in its place. So, yay? I think yay!
