If you’re interested in the future of wind energy in central Illinois, you may want to check out the free forum with Rep. Jakobsson at the Champaign Public Library on Monday. There’s also a Halfway Interesting discussion here on Senate Bill 1316, which would allow for the creation of renewable-energy production districts within Illinois counties. These districts could potentially create some pretty serious revenue for cash-strapped counties like Champaign.
Or you could just say frack it and await the arrival of our Chinese and German energy overlords.
