UP Center to create oral history of Champaign County’s LGBTQ citizens

From their July 17 newsletter:

The UP Center is looking for local LGBTQ individuals who want to help document and preserve the LGBTQ history of Champaign County. Participants will be interviewed on camera and the footage will be housed within the Champaign County Historical Archive located on the second floor of the Urbana Free Library. Our goal is to create a talking history of local experiences to show current and future generations how crucial the stories of the past are to shaping how things are today.
