INFORMATION MEETING and COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE
University Primary School Enrollment Begins
University Primary School is now accepting enrollment applications for the 2014-2015 academic year. University Primary School is The University of Illinois College of Education preschool-third grade Reggio Emilia inspired lab school where children are engaged in creative, challenging, and meaningful inquires using The Project Approach. University Primary School is located at 51 Gerty Drive, Champaign in the Children’s Research Center building. Children must be 3 years old on or before September 1st to enroll in the preschool classroom and 5 years old on or before September 1st to enroll in kindergarten.
An optional prospective parent informational meeting about University Primary School will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 7:15 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. in room 75 of the Children’s Research Center, 51 Gerty Drive, Champaign.
As part of the application process, families must attend the Community Open House on February 19 and 20, 2014 or call the school office to schedule a site visit. Families may observe the preschool classroom between 8:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and/or the combined Kindergarten/1st grade and combined 2nd/3rd classroom between 8:45 a.m.- 2:45 p.m.; children are encouraged to visit too. Enrollment applications may be downloaded from the website or a hard copy may be picked up at the school. Applications for the 2014-2015 academic year are due March 19, 2014. (Applications submitted by this date will be given first consideration.)
