After a lengthy process, it appears a strike will be avoided pending ratification by the full membership of the CFT. From the press release:

Champaign, Ill. – The Board of Education and the Champaign Federation of Teachers (CFT) are pleased with the progress made at tonight’s bargaining session. The parties came to a tentative agreement that honors the work of our educators and the CFT will be taking it to their membership for ratification.
