In a mass email, President Tim Killeen announced that all students returning to U of I campuses this fall will be required to receive a COVID vaccine. If a student has a medical exemption, they will be required to follow campus protocols, presumably the regular saliva testing required of students the previous school year.
Guidelines for faculty and staff are still in the works.
This is a huge development, and will make for a safer campus and community.
