Congratulations to former 2010 U of I grad, Aja Evans, and her pilot Jamie Greubal, for taking the bronze medal in women’s bobsled at Sochi. Aja Evans was a former Track and Field athelete at the university. The USA-2 team combined their four runs for a total of 3:56.61. Canada-1 team took gold beating the other American USA-1 team, Elana Meyers and Lauryn Williams, by .10 seconds. It is USA Olympic history in women’s bobsled that two teams have been medalded at the same event.
