Triptych’s patio is a nice place to be on a hot day

I’m not willing to go inside an eating or drinking establishment right now, but will venture out to a patio if it’s not crowded and it’s a place committed to following health guidance. The oppressive heat of the past couple of weeks has made that more difficult, but during a 90 degree afternoon last week I just needed a break and an afternoon beer so I tried Triptych to see if I could stand the heat.

I’ve been impressed with their hard line on mask wearing when you’re up and moving around, and since it was early enough in the day on a weekday it was easy to snag a shaded table by myself.

Throw in a glass (actually plastic cup) of Chip It On the Green Kölsch — a style of beer which has been a go-to of mine this summer — and it was a nice little break from my house, even on such a hot day.

If you’d rather stick to taking beer to-go, you can still do that and pick it up curbside.
