Tonight on the big radio show, Francisco Baires from the University YMCA joins us to discuss the upcoming semester’s lecture series, and specifically the Friday lectures in September covering the issue of incarceration. The topic is especially pertinent locally considering the ongoing discussion of building a prison in east Urbana.
Francisco will talk a bit about the lecture series overall and then more specifically on how topics are chosen for the Friday Forum series. We’ll also talk a bit more broadly about incarceration as it relates to and affects our community and the State of Illinois.
