Did you know that 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ+? The cold winter months are here and we need you to help out! There are a handful of homeless youth we are trying to help during the winter months. The youth (around age 17) have no shelter services because they do not accept unaccompanied minors. Therefore, we have created a checklist and drop off locations to help these individuals during these cold and hard times.
If this is something you can help with, see below for items they are seeking. You can drop them off at the University YMCA, Illini Hillel at Cohen Center for Jewish Life, or Community United Church of Christ.
