The Ubuntu Project, a “a coalition of Black activists, intellectuals, and politicians in Central Illinois” is hosting a panel discussion titled “After the Rebellion: Organizing for Liberation” on Sunday from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
Panelists include Dr. Ashley Howard, Department of History, University of Iowa, Professor Lou Turner, Department of Urban & Regional Planning, University of Illinois, Aaron Ammons, Champaign County Clerk, and Dr. Sundiata Cha-Jua, Departments of African American Studies & History, National Coordinating Committee, Malcolm X Grassroots Movement. It will be moderated by Dr. Ruby Mendenhall, Assistant Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
