Nichole Millage and the rest of the U.S. Women’s Sitting Volleyball team will be playing for gold at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. After sweeping Brazil in the semifinal, they will now once again face China in a gold medal match on Sunday at 10 a.m. Tokyo time, 8 p.m. Central Time.
Millage, an Environmental Sustainability Specialist with the City of Champaign, was initially an alternate for Toyko, then found out just before the games began that she would have a spot on the team.
This will be the 4th time that Millage and the U.S. will compete with China for the gold medal. China prevailed in Beijing and London, then the U.S. claimed gold in Rio.
