The Red Herring vegetarian restaurant, part of the Channing Murray Foundation and storied enclave of music and political activism, is preparing to celebrate it’s 50th(!) anniversary with a weeklong slate of activities. Details are still unfolding, but here’s a preview of the currently scheduled events:
Red Herring Golden (50th) Birthday Party
Saturday, February 17th, 4:30pm-10:30pmAn evening of live music, local food, storytellers from over The Red Herring years, exhibit of memorabilia from over the years (LP’s, poetry books, posters, etc.), raffle, and musical performances by Paul Kotheimer, The Merry Travelers, Dewclaw, and other local folk and jazz groups. Storytellers include founding participants Bill Taylor, Vern Fein, and more.
