The Champaign Farmers’ Market opens this week

This Tuesday, May 17th, the Champaign Farmers’ Market hosted by The Land Connection opens for the season. Every Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. in Downtown Champaign’s parking lot M find farmers, bakers, makers, and more. Shop for locally grown food, flowers, bread, pastries, honey, eggs, and mushrooms.

This year, find farmers like Meyer Produce, Sola Gratia, and more. You’ll see Cloud Mountain Kombucha, Urbana’s award-winning kombucha brewing business, selling their famous ‘buch at the Tuesday market. There will be amazing desserts by Berries and Flour and baked goods by Central Illinois Bakehouse. Stango Cuisine will be there, too, selling delicious hand pies, beignets, and ginger juice.

The Champaign Farmers’ Market allows leashed dogs and will be choosing a Market Mutt of the Week each Tuesday. The chosen mutt will win dog treats from Pura Vida Pets, and the mutt’s mug will be posted on The Land Connection’s socials.

The Champaign market season will run every Tuesday afternoon from May 17th through October 25th.
