Student musical revue In Progress May 1 and 2

A new student musical production will be coming your way (if you’re around Lincoln Hall, that is) this week.

In Progress: A Broadway Revue is a snapshot of four friends who, after falling out of touch, reunite weeks before their college graduation and revel in each other’s company, reminded of the support that surrounds them. In Progress features songs from The Book of Mormon, Legally Blonde, Spring Awakening, and American Idiot, among others. With an original libretto by Kelsey McGrath and the show’s director, Zach Moyer, In Progress reflects sentiment for the past and hope for the future rooted in relationships and the expression of love. The four characters prepare for their new lives with one foot forward and the realization that they are all in progress.

The revue will be presented Thursday, May 1st, and Friday, May 2nd, at 7:30 p.m. The performances will be held in Lincoln Hall. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $8 for U of I students. Tickets can be purchased via the Illini Student Musicals website.
