CUDO Plays’ annual game-design competition is in full swing, but each month they take a night off to explore a unique and interesting game that is unrelated to the contest. Sometimes a new game can help uncover a mechanic that might be useful to competitors, and sometimes it’s just good to socialize with people who clearly like doing the same thing.
This month’s game is Mysterium, only recently published in the US, so sure to be new to most players. A beautiful card-based game of intuition, strategy, and pattern-detection, it is a great group game (up to 6) but can also be enjoyed by partners and smaller parties. Fans of Dixit, Clue, Concept or anything gothic will have a great time participating.
So head over to the Hyatt downtown at 6:30 p.m., and bring a game of your own to share as well. It’s free to join in!
