These fliers have now been placed up around campus reminding students, faculty, and staff that the new smoking ban is now in effect around campus. Makes sense to spread the word, but why the decision to pair the announcement with an informationless “no guns allowed” symbol? Both messages are clearly important, but I wonder if and why they need to be coupled.
