It’s time to get classy, Champaign-Urbana.
Friday and Saturday night, Anchorman will be the Art Theater Co-op’s midnight movie. So slap on some Sex Panther cologne and head downtown for a good time with Ron, Brick, Champ, and Brian before the sequel comes strutting into theaters.
At the time of its release, beloved film critic Roger Ebert said, “I have known and worked with a lot of anchorpersons, even female anchorpersons, over the years, and I can tell you that almost all of them are good people — smart professionals who don’t take themselves too seriously. But every once in a while you get a Ron Burgundy, and you kind of treasure him, because you can dine out on the stories for years.”
An old friend of mine from high school is now a news anchor…and I have no comment.
Go see a movie. It’s good for you.
