Riggs Beer Company in Urbana is hosting a cat sterilization clinic on Saturday, April 15th, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the brewery. The brewery is teaming up with the U of I College of Veterinary Medicine.
Here’s the tl;dr: Appointments are required (call 217-718-5345), and the fee is $50 for the spay/neuter, a FVRCP vaccination, and a rabies vaccination.
Here are more details:
You may have met our beer garden kittens, “Helles” and “Dunkles”. Although they’re already neutered, we’ve teamed up with the U of I College of Veterinary Medicine again to help some of their feline friends in the community.
The mobile neutering clinic will come to Riggs Beer Company on April 15th, 2017 at 8am. Owned cats are as welcome as feral and free roaming ones. $50 gets your cat sterilized, a FVRCP vaccination, and a rabies vaccination. Feral cats get free treatment. Half the fee will be used for animals whose owners can’t afford treatment or go to “Hospice Hearts,” a foster-based rescue service that cares for cats and dogs with terminally ill owners.
Pet owners MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT by calling 217-718-5345 or by talking to anyone at Riggs Beer Company. Cats need to be dropped off at 8 am on April 15th. After surgery the cats need to rest. They can be picked up again in the afternoon.
