Krannert Center for the Performing Arts presents Reduced Shakespeare Company: The Complete World of Sports (abridged) this Saturday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m.
Let the games begin! The self-proclaimed “bad boys of abridgement” are back — this time with a reduction of every sport ever played on every continent in the entire history of the world, all in just under two hours. Baseball, football, rugby, PacMan, synchronized swimming, quidditch, hurling, curling, and extreme curling — nothing is sacred when this trio of award winners takes on the legacy of global sports and the father of all sports networks. Stops at the White House, the Kennedy Center, and London’s West End have solidified the Reduced Shakespeare Company’s reputation as international side-splitters with a flavor for “delicious anarchy” (Washington Examiner). And nonsports fans, never fear: the abridgers note, “If you like sports, you’ll like this show and if you couldn’t care less about sports, you’ll LOVE this show!”
This performance will take place in Colwell Playhouse and will last approximately one hour and fifty minutes.
