Prairie Fruits Farm will host a family-friendly, food-filled happy hour this Friday, June 9th from 5 to 7 p.m.
Here are some details:
Bane Family Meats will be grilling up their pastured chicken to sell ($12 for half bird, $25 full bird – feeds 4 people). We have cheese, baguettes via Pekara Bakery and Bistro, Smoking Goose Meatery charcuterie and other snacks. Cool down with our gelato by the scoop and/or pint.
Enjoy a glass of wine or a local micro-brew via Metropolitan Brewing, Rolling Meadows Brewery, or Big Thorn Farm & Brewery with some local food snacks. Bring yourselves or the family.
Enjoy music via The Young and the Fretless, an Urbana-based band that plays “old-time mountain music on the prairie – a mix of Appalachian Mountain and Midwestern tunes and songs”.
The weather looks to be perfect, and I can think of fewer better ways to spend a Friday evening than on the farm (with the baby goats!).
PFF is located at 4410 North Lincoln Avenue, Champaign. For more info, check out the event’s Facebook page.
