Pops goes disco

Flash back to the hits of the ’70s when the Parkland Pops present their choral concert, “Disco!,” Saturday, May 17th at 1 p.m. in the Parkland College Theatre.

This event is free and open to the public.

Brian Hagy leads the 12-member chorus, which will present such familiar tunes as: “The Hustle” by Van McCoy and the Soul City Symphony; “I Will Survive” by Freddie Perren and Dino Fekaris; “Turn the Beat Around” by Gerald Jackson and Peter Jackson; “Y.M.C.A.” by Henri Belolo, Jacques Morali and Victor Willis; “Le Freak” by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers; “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees; and more.

The Parkland Pops choir is open to community members, including those with special needs.
