Parkland College’s Staerkel Planetarium will be presenting a total of four musical light shows on the weekends of Feb. 19-20 and Feb. 26-27.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The William M. Staerkel Planetarium at Parkland College will offer musical laser shows to the public during the last two weekends of February.
Laser Shows at Staerkel PlanetariumTwo shows will take place each Friday and Saturday night, Feb. 19-20 and 26-27. Tickets are $8 per person per show, all sold at the door. Residents can listen to win tickets on REWIND 92.5 FM.
While the planetarium has a history of doing musical light shows, the laser shows will be a first-ever event at the dome, said David Leake, director of the planetarium.Laser shows at the planetarium are not recommended for those who easily succumb to motion sickness.
