The Parkland Entrepreneurial Network (PEN) will host a lecture April 1st featuring the head of a local agricultural engineering data firm. PEN provides students with entrepreneurial support through educational resources and networking opportunities. PEN Talks are interactive forums presented to students by professionals in their interested fields.
The PEN Talk by Chris Harbourt, CEO of Agrible, Inc. in Champaign, will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in Room C118 at Parkland College.
Harbourt brings more than 25 years of agricultural and entrepreneurial experience to his role. He has been incorporating big data into agriculture since the mid ’90s, using that knowledge to lead product conception and development. Predictive analytics tools produced by Agrible, such as its Morning Farm Report, aim to help agricultural companies and growers increase their productivity.
