Support for Workforce Training (SWFT) offers tuition and fee waivers for individuals interested in completing a short term training for employment in high demand fields with livable wages. No high school diploma is required to participate.
You can find a list of training programs, with dates and information session details here. After attending an information session, you can apply for your chosen field of study.
SWFT is funded by a $1 million Illinois Workforce Equity Initiative (WEI) grant, and was established with the help of the Illinois Legislative Black Caucus and State Rep. Carol Ammons.
