If you’re planning to improve your life through higher education soon, Parkland College has something this summer that will help you make that move.
Parkland is holding FREE, two-hour workshops this summer for residents who plan to enroll at the college for the fall, to help them prepare for the school’s required reading, writing, and math course placement tests.
Accuplacer tests are untimed, computerized tests that help the college place students into courses that are right for them. You may attend a test preparation workshop most Mondays and Wednesdays through August 3 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the college’s Center for Academic Success, room D120. (The Monday, June 27, and Monday, July 25, workshops will meet from 4 to 6 p.m.)
Participants will discuss the test, find out why it is important, and learn strategies for maximizing their scores.
Reserve a spot at one of these free workshops by contacting the Center for Academic Success at 217/353-2005 or 217/351-2441.
