The City of Champaign is making parking in the Hill Street Parking Deck free for up to two hours December 1st through 31st as a means to encourage and reward spending your dollars in Downtown Champaign.
Parking is free for two hours, which, given the current circumstances, is plenty of time to do some shopping and pick up take out from your favorite restaurant.

Free Parking Offered in Downtown Champaign this December
(Up to two hours in the Hill Street Parking Deck)To encourage residents and visitors to frequent Downtown Champaign businesses this holiday season, the City of Champaign is offering up to two hours of free parking in the Hill Street Parking Deck from December 1 through December 31, 2020. Hourly visitors parking longer than two hours will receive a 2-hour discount off their parking fee.
The City encourages visitors to support Champaign’s local businesses and restaurants. Be sure to check ahead to see if where you are heading has any altered schedules or capacity limits; and be sure follow safe social distancing and mask wearing protocols. There is no need to provide any proof of purchase at the parking deck to receive this discount. As always, parking in the parking deck and at metered spaces is free on City holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The City-owned Hill Street Parking Deck is located at the corner of Hill and Randolph Streets and has more than 300 visitor parking spaces. More information about the Hill Street Parking Deck is available on the City’s website at champaignil.gov/parking.
