Paint the Town Purple for Domestic Violence Awareness

What: The Center for Women in Transition invites the community to Paint the Town Purple in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month

When: Friday, October 25, all day.

Where: Throughout the C-U community. The Center for Women in Transition and R.A.C.E.S. staff will all participate by wearing “Let’s Talk” t-shirts. 

Why: October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and The Center for Women in Transition (CWT) invites our community to speak up and speak out against domestic violence. Everyone can show support for victims and advocate for Domestic Violence Awareness by wearing purple on Friday, October 25.

Details: “Let’s Talk” Domestic Violence Awareness Month t-shirts are available at Transitions Resale Store in Lincoln Square. Transitions is open M-F 10-6 and Saturdays 9-5. Wear a “Let’s Talk” t-shirt, or wear anything purple to show your support. Post a photo of yourself or your business on Facebook to spread the word.
