Common Ground Food Co-op is accepting nominations for the Round Up For Good grant program. The program allows shoppers to round up the cost (say, from $12.45 to $13), and all of that extra money is donated to whatever organization is featured that month. This year, Urbana Free Library, Planned Parenthood, Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, and Immigrant Services of CU, among eight others, have been or will be featured.
You can email the Common Ground Board with your nominations; voting takes place August 1-14.
Oh, and did you know that you can apply to run to be on the co-op’s Board? Additional information and application materials are available on the website.
