Blending rich history with a brutal reality, Ezzat Goushegir’s play My Name is Inanna explores what it means to live in “the land of the free” while many consider you to be a second class citizen. The raw lyrical reflection of Iranian and American culture is being read at Krannert Art Museum this Friday, February 18th, from 1 to 3 p.m., by Iranian-American actor Maryam Abdi.
The reading is part of a larger exhibit at Krannert: Reckless Law, Shameless Order: An Intimate Experience Of Incarceration. The exhibit, running from February 11th to April 2nd, is connecting people and sharing stories of the previously incarcerated. Check out our preview here.
