Merchant Street Musicfest is a two-day music festival taking place in Kankakee July 24th & 25th. It might be worth the drive to check it out — for $5 each day, there will be three stages of music, as well as food and drink vendors. Locals Rebecca Rego & The Trainmen are playing on Friday, and headliners include The Fifth Dimension featuring Florence Larue, and The Ohio Players.
