Mendelfest is a celebration of modern genetics

Next week marks the 200th birthday of Gregor Mendel, an important scientist in modern genetics. Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology is celebrating with Mendelfest on July 20th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The morning will consist of various speakers sharing their expertise in anthropology, plant biology, and history. In the afternoon, you’ll find a family friendly event with hands-on activities. Here are the details:

9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

1 to 4 p.m.
