Loren Tate, longtime columnist at The News-Gazette, has been named to the 2021 class which will be inducted into the U.S. Basketball Writers Hall of Fame. The announcement was made earlier today, which featured Sports Illustrated‘s Pat Forde, The Athletic‘s Dana O’Neil, and a few others which you can see below.
Tate, 89, has been working at the N-G since the mid-60s, and though he has hung it up as a writer, he still hosts Tatelines on WDWS on Saturdays. You can read more about his achievements and recognitions here.
