A few years ago, when we did our Best Burger rankings, Guido’s came in as a dark horse, sliding into 2nd place with their double patty griddle burger. Not only does it have a nearly perfect burger to bun to toppings ratio, the presentation is pretty masterful as well.
This week I decided to shake things up and try their buffalo burger. Not buffalo as in buffalo meat, but buffalo as in buffalo sauce. Most of my experiences with the tangy, slightly spicy sauce involve chicken, so I was interested to see how it translates to the burger. Friends, it was delightful — everything that’s great about the regular griddle burger, but sauce and blue cheese added a flavorful bonus. Next time I might ask for a side of ranch to bring it to the next level.
