Mike Ingram and Elizabeth Hess are announcing their upcoming event, Songs Don’t Kill People: A Night in Defiance of Gun Violence. On Saturday, January 18th, a host of local musicians will join Ingram and Hess in a night dedicated to getting the word out about common-sense gun reform. Members of local acts like CURB SERVICE, Elsinore, We the Animals, Grand Ambassadors, and many others, will be presenting their own takes on gun-related songs.
As listed on the EventBrite page, all money from the event will go to the local Moms Demand Action group.
Songs Don’t Kill People will be held at Champaign’s City Center (505 S. Chestnut) starting at 6 p.m. with music to follow around 7 p.m. General Admission tickets are $25, but VIP tables for parties up to eight people are available for $200. Tickets can be purchased here, or you can pay with cash or check at the door.
