Halloween has past, and those pumpkins, gourds, and jack-o-lanterns on your front porch are only going to last so long. If you don’t want them to rot and melt into your yard and grow rogue plants next summer (speaking from experience here), then haul them on over to Landscape Recycling Center for disposal. Here are the guidelines:
- Please remove all candles, lights and anything that is attached.
- The pumpkins that have any paint or have foreign objects that are attached and can’t be removed are not accepted.
- Pumpkins that have been coated to prevent decay and deter animals are not accepted.
- Real pumpkins (organic) only, pumpkins made from plastic, foam and other materials are not accepted.
Dropping items off at LRC is super easy. Just roll up to their location at 1210 E. University Avenue, and an attendant will come to the car to help remove the items for disposal.
