CU Citizens for Peace and Justice is putting on a forum about the untold story behind the police killing of Kiwane Carrington.
It will be this Thursday, May 6, from 7-9 pm at the Independent Media Center (old post office in downtown Urbana, Broadway and Elm).
We will be addressing the perversion of the facts by the local media and the city authorities.
There will be an update on the case and a review of our proposals to the city for changes to the police union contract and the complaint process.
At the end, there will be break-out groups for input and ways to get involved.
Refreshments will be provided.
