Just a friendly reminder to anyone who hasn’t yet seen the Sondheim review Putting It Together at the Station Theatre: Don’t bother trying to get tickets for Saturday, June 14th. That is, unless you’re a donor to the Station or plan to become one (which is a wonderful thing, by the way — support those arts, people).
Typically, one performance each summer is set aside for the annual Celebration Company summer benefit.
As reported in an earlier SP article:
The Station’s annual Summer Benefit will take over the theatre on June 14. Per tradition, this performance will be reserved for those patrons who attend the benefit dinner (catered, and with live music) at the home of Station Artistic Director Rick Orr. Details for the start time of this shindig aren’t available yet, but anyone with questions about the benefit can call the theatre at (217) 384-4000. Following dinner, the party will then travel to the Station in time for the show at 8:00 p.m. Champagne and dessert will be served at intermission.
Performances for regular folks will resume Sunday, June 15th, and the show will run one additional week from Wednesday, June 18th, through Saturday, June 21st.
