Join Japan House at Broadway Food Hall on March 2nd for a celebration of the Japanese holiday Girl’s Day, or Hinamatsuri. This event is a part of Urbana’s First Fridays.
Guests will be invited to view valued kimonos, as well as learn the art of preparing and wearing one. Ariel Loh will have pieces of her artform kanzashi, or decorative hair ornaments, on display and guests will have the opportunity to try one on.
A free oragami craft table will be there for guests to try their hand at the paper folding. Sue Alexander and Aresa Yoshida will be providing koto music as well.
