Japan House hosted their annual Mottainai bazaar this past weekend. If you missed it (like I did), good news! They still have a good selection of items left, so they are having a last chance flash sale on December 14th from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
It’s free to attend the sale, but they’d like you to register so they are prepared for how many people to expect. As I said in this year’s shopping guide, Mottainai is one of my favorite holiday shopping experiences. They pull together such a unique assortment of items. The event page lists matcha tea, ceramics, kimono and yukata, origami crafts, handmade items, scarves, artwork, scrolls, books, prints, chado equipment, and jewelry as some of goods you can find.
As a bonus, they are giving away a free mochi cake with every purchase.
